Is it the light or the dark that draws you? 11/16/20

Hello to both sides of you,

Wait! Look! Your dark side is showing!

Bad jokes aside, there is something that can bring out your dark side. And I wonder what is?

Most people are ashamed of this side of themselves. I understand why, too. Society has told us that certain urges or desires should not exist within a “civilized” human being. If you’re reading this, odds are you are a Witch. You know that “civilization” is the worst thing that ever happened to Witchcraft.

So why should we listen to a word any of these so-called civilized people say?

Look, I am clearly not telling you to go out in public with nothing but your Witch hat on. What I am saying is that we ignore our dark side. And that needs to stop.

Do you really love your darkness? Or is it something you think you should do because you are a Witch?

Bodybuilding On One Side.

Imagine if Arnold Schwarzenegger only built up one side of his body.

That is what most people do in their lives.

Being acquainted with your lighter side does not automatically make you a good person. A lot of times it makes you naive or, worse, weak.

If you are only seeing the light side of yourself, you are likely only seeing the light side of others. This makes you vulnerable. Look for the darkness in people. Sometimes, it is all you will see.

Don’t just build up one side of yourself. Build everything evenly.

Have balance.

The Animal Inside You Needs Fed

When you ignore your dark side, you are ignoring reality. And when you are ignoring reality, you are ignoring the inner psychology and the Magick of duality.

If you’ve read any of my blogs or newsletters, you know I love bridging a connection between science and Magick. If nothing else, it helps prove Magick to those less willing to let their guard down.

When you do not express your dark side, you are failing to perform sublimation.

Sublimation is basically funneling your dark desires and thoughts into something productive. For example, imagine if Jeffery Daumer took his desire to kill and have slaves and put it into his work at that chocolate factory where he was employed. He wouldn’t be in jail AND he’d at least be floor manager.

When we fail to sublimate for our dark side, we fail to feed ourselves and our karma properly.

Doing good things can still feed that shadowy side of us.

The Magick of the Darkness

For whatever reason (which I’ll get to in a second) human beings have the tendency to use Black Magick wrong.

I get it. Trust me. Using Black Magick can make you feel like a million bucks, ten feet tall and bullet-proof, and invulnerable.

While I am talking about using your base instincts, or the part of you that cannot be civilized, don’t fall prey to this fallacy. While I love Black Magick and practice it regularly, use it on those that deserve it.

Again, ignoring your light for only your dark is still focusing on one side too much. Let both influence each other.

Don’t be afraid of the less human part of yourself.

Take inspiration from your emotions. If you feel darkness overcoming you, channel that into something that will benefit you. You may want to put it into Revenge Magick. And do not listen to the people that say it is not up to you to judge others. You have a sense of right and wrong. And you know when someone deserves punishment.

Channel it somewhere—anywhere! Whatever you do, do not lock it up inside you. That is stuff that causes cancer.

You owe it to yourself to express the dark part of you, as well as the light. Build up both sides. Be a complete human being.

The light and the dark will move through you.

Accept them both and be complete.

Love + Blessings

Laci
