What is the Third Eye?

Why does the Third Eye matter to your practice? Why does it matter if it is open? Let’s answer both those questions and more.

In this post, I will be addressing the five most common questions I get about the Third Eye. I receive a lot of messages about the Third Eye and this obviously won’t cover them all, but I will address the other questions in a future post.

Question 1: What is the Third Eye?

The Third Eye is most commonly known as your inner eye; the eye that corresponds with your level of spirituality. Writings of the Third Eye date back to pre-Babylonian and Egyptian times. The concept was popularized in the Sanskrit writings of the pre-Indo cultures that eventually have birth to Jainism, Buddhism, and Hinduism.

Modern scholars believe the original conception of the Third Eye corresponds to the pineal gland. This small, pine-cone shaped endocrine gland is responsible for the hormones associated with sleep; which tangentially makes it responsible for dreaming.

This gland is the energetic anchor for humans to the spirit dimension, which is where dreams come through. While there may be a perfectly acceptable biological basis for dreams, we still do not understand scientifically why those hormones produce the dream-state. And, I don’t think we ever will until there is a scientific and public acceptance of humanity’s multidimensional reality.

In short, the Third Eye is responsible for lots of things. As for what exactly it is, that is beyond our current ability to study due to not having instruments that can reach into that multidimensional reality. That is the fault of biologists for not recognizing that the human body is a wonderfully apt instrument for use in the study.

Question 2: How Do I Open My Third Eye?

It takes years to do it old way. And I am sure there are classes and resources online that can tell you how to do it this way. Which is why I cannot recommend it. It is how I did it, it’s not fun, it can and likely will be dangerous, and I highly suggest you go with Magickal intervention here.

You know me if you have read this blog for a while. I would never purposefully push anyone towards a purchase. It is just not how I work. And, if you would rather go with another service than mine, I have no problems with that.

My suggestion is to not go with the old fashioned way of doing this. I have literally seen people lose themselves to the process. In fact, a good friend of mine ended up in a state that she will not recover from. She is currently in Kentucky’s infamous Eastern State Hospital and has been for the last 16 years.

Question 3: Will Opening My Third Eye Make Me See Spirits?

It can, and I know that frightens some people. In all my Third Eye listings on my various storefronts, I describe this phenomenon. And still I get frightened messages in the middle of the night where people see spirits.

This doesn’t always happen, but it happens often enough that I get this message every day.

While the Third Eye can cause spirit sight, it does many other beneficial things, too. This is not the only reason to open your Third Eye.

I should also address goal oriented thinking when it comes to opening your Third Eye here. I also get a ton of people who want to open their Third Eye only to see spirits. Question 4: What Happens Once My Third Eye is Open? (aside from the above)

You will experience a more cohesive world, that’s what!

There is a part of you that is turned off. Imagine an oven where everything works—the clock is set, the knobs turn just fine, and the oven door opens without a single squeak. But the heating elements have been fried.

What then? What good is that oven? Similarly, what good is it to go through life without your one spiritual organ? How much of life are you missing out on?

The last question there is a good one to answer. So, I will.

You will have a calmness to your spirit. You will lucid dream easier, as well as astral travel. The psychic realm that was once unfound will be found. But that is the boring stuff.

The truth is, your third eye opening will give you a sense of the whole—everything! You will better understand your world and the way you live in it.

Question 5: Once Open, Can My Third Eye Close Again?

Sadly, the answer is yes.

If you ignore the calling within your spirit to explore the unknown, you will be effectively shutting your Third Eye. It is no different than closing your eyes to sleep at night. Ignoring your spiritual purpose is putting that special piece of yourself to sleep.

There are also ways our modern world incentivizes you to slam that Third Eye shut. Fluoride in our water causes a hard film to cover our pineal gland. Drug abuse will damage this brain structure, which will keep you from being able to fully function as a spiritual being. Dehydration, over-eating, staring at screens all day—all of these things can intrinsically damage the pineal gland to a point of no return.

While spirituality is the ultimate goal, the Third Eye has a biological basis. It is your physical anchor to the metaphysical world. Don’t ignore it. Otherwise, you will never truly see.
